The ISSMGE is the pre-eminent professional body representing the interests and activities of Engineers, Academics and Contractors all over the world that actively participate in geotechnical engineering.
As a truly global organisation, for the ISSMGE to provide a focus for professional leadership to more than 80 Member Societies and over 18,000 individual members around the world it must have an effective tool for the communication and dissemination of information. The objectives of this website are:
- to provide the membership with regular and up to date news and information about the activities of the society around the world.
- to provide communication platform for the effective management and administration of the society.
- to provide a communication platform for the effective coordination of the Technical Committees.
- to provide a single point of access for our members to obtain information on upcoming events and conferences.
The Society office bearers and TC Chairmen have access to, and manage and update the content of the website, which is being incrementally developed to satisfy the ISSMGE’s long-term goals:
- to provide an effective and efficient tool for the dissemination of TC publications and reports.
- to provide an economic and convenient means of publishing and distributing ISSMGE sponsored keynote lectures and proceedings.
- to assist in the efficient coordination and management of international and specialist conferences.
