Thank you for your excellent presentation Prof. Laloui. I am currently working on the numerical simulation of geothermal foundation system we have at Texas A&M University with FLAC3D. I would like to ask your opinion based on your findings on the soil overheating in long-term application of system? Thank you

The possible soil overheating in long-term has to be considered from the energy demand as well as from the geotechnical side. For this last one, it could be considered in the analysis using a constitutive model having a double memory concept such as ACMEG-T model. This allows to consider the behaviour of the soil submitted to temperatures not experienced before.
