Publication Oversight Committee
About
The ISSMGE Publications Oversight Committee (POC) is a board-level committee created in 2024 to build upon the significant progress of the society on open-access publishing. The POC is charged with coordinating current publications and exploring new avenues for serving the profession and the society through publications. Specifically:
- POC is responsible for supporting publishing and indexing of publications of the regional, international and technical conferences of the Society with a view on the ISSMGE Open Access commitments as announced by the Board in 2023.
- POC is responsible for providing oversight of the Online Library and the Conference Paper Review Platform and liaising with the operations company to provide any necessary upgrades needed to maintain or improve them based on users feedback.
- POC is responsible for updating and revising the ISSMGE Conference & Publication Manual.
- POC is responsible for the activities of the ISSMGE Journal on Geotechnical Research, collaboration with the International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories, and support of the Online Lexicon.
