- Introduction and Agenda Overview:
- RE initiated the meeting, mentioning the dense agenda and the recording of the session for minutes generation.
- Participants introduced themselves in alphabetical order.
- CAPG Presentation to the Board:
- CAPG Community Proposal: RE proposed creating a CAPG community to include more people without membership fees, allowing broader participation and contribution.
Positive feedback received from the board, awaiting final confirmation. - Member Benefits: Discussion on benefits for CAPG members, including dedicated web pages, reduced conference fees, and opportunities to present papers.
Proposal to create awards for best projects, innovations, and sustainable initiatives.
CAPG to meet with ISSMGE board members in January to rediscuss CAPG matters.
- CAPG Community Proposal: RE proposed creating a CAPG community to include more people without membership fees, allowing broader participation and contribution.
- Ongoing Activities:
- Efforts to update member contacts and reach out to potential new members. AA presented a list of potential new members. CM suggested considering the GE 100 lists as well.
- Preparation for the National Assembly in North Macedonia, including a workshop on innovative solutions and technologies.
- Website update managed by Aline, with a new interface and features for members.
- Works on website to further progress.
- Work Groups Formation:
- Establishment of work groups for Heritage Time Capsule, website upgrade, marketing campaign, Vienna 2026 session, and conference contributions.
- SP presented the Heritage Time Capsule project and invited contributions from CAPG members.
- SWA identified key conferences for CAPG presence, including events in North Macedonia, South Africa, France, India, Taipei, Lebanon, and Vienna. Additional suggestions for conferences in Brazil and the Geo Congress in 2026.
- CAs were invited to express their interest in the work group they can contribute to.
- Additional Ideas:
- YDR suggested involving universities to connect students with the industry, providing practical insights and potential employment opportunities. MTH supported the idea, emphasizing the importance of showing real-world applications to students. RE suggested SWA coordinate potential activity in collaboration with PIC.
