Meeting Title: CAPG Ongoing Activities Progress and Marketing Campaign Update

Agenda G Key Discussion Points:

Roger Estephan opened the meeting and welcomed participants. He kicked off the meeting by presenting the ongoing CAPG activities and highlighting the exposure opportunities for the CA members as follows:

1.CAPG Marketing Campaign for CA Membership Growth

  • Objective: Increase CAPG corporate associates members beyond 100.
  • Strategy:
    • Track 1: Outreach through ISSMGE National Societies via official letters and emails.
    • Track 2: Direct contact with a curated list of 150200 potential companies.
    • Track 3: Public campaign using LinkedIn, GeoWorld, Geoengineer.org, etc.
  • He informed the CA members that a new email address ([email protected]) was created for campaign management.

2.CA Advertising Opportunities

  • Discussion on placing ads in:
    • GeoStrata (USA)
    • Ground Engineering (UK)
  • Yuli to approach the Ground Engineering editor directly; ISSMGE to confirm with Geo- Institute.

3.CAPG Website, Membership and Online Payment Update

  • Roger informed the CA members that CA Membership fee payment is now available online and via R code on the CAPG website and he encouraged them to use the new simplified payment process.

4.CA Promotional Content for a better impact

  • President Marc Ballouz offered to sponsor part of the campaign using ISSMGE funds to help attract more members. He suggested considering professional marketing support to expand the campaigns reach and effectiveness.

5.Highlighting CAPG Contributions

  • Roger reiterated that CAPG now offers, for each CA member, a dedicated webpage within the ISSMGE Website for CA members to showcase their services and increase visibility with an Exclusive feature for posting downloadable materials for Platinum and Journal Sponsors members.
  • CA Members are encouraged to utilize and update their page by sharing their materials and benefit from this opportunity for a better exposure and visibility.

6.Heritage Time Capsule Initiative at Vienna 2026 Conference

  • Roger urged all CA members to contribute significant innovations/projects to the ISSMGE Time Capsule for Vienna 2026 and to increase the number of Corporate Associates (CAs) contributions on the dedicated HTC website.
  • The capsule will be part of the Terzaghi Museum, and that it will be sealed in a specific session in Viennas event to be opened in 100 years.

7.CA Bulletin opportunities:

  • Roger invited the Corporate Associates (CAs) members for an opportunity to showcase their notable, world-class projects to the global geotechnical community by submitting (13 pages) articles and case studies that highlight latest innovation, promote sustainability in geotechnical engineering, and inspire young geotechnical engineers about the industrys best practice.
  • Roger has introduced to the Corporate Associates (CA) members that they are now offered commercial advertisements for free in the ISSMGE Bulletin:
    • Platinum G Journal Sponsors: Full page
    • Gold Members: Half page
    • Silver Members: uarter page
    • Dr Marc Ballouz has highlighted that the issues of the Bulletin are now more interactive and multimedia-friendly with a new look.

8.Upcoming Events were discussed:

  • CAPG Workshop at the 6th European National Assemblies (Rome, 16 October 2025):
    • CA Presentations should focus on innovative solutions and technologies that are reshaping the Geotech market practices.
    • Open call for participation, both in-person and online.
  • Vienna Conference (June 2026):
    • CAPG session: 30 minutes total with a 5-minute presentation per selected CA member.
    • Call for project submissions to begin now.
    • Selection process: Initial submission Jury review Shortlist Presentation preparation.
