Geomil Equipment offers a wide range of advanced Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) systems, designed for both onshore and offshore applications. Our portfolio includes penetrometers, CPT rigs, and data acquisition systems. Below is a detailed overview of our products and services.
1. Onshore CPT equipment
Geomil provides truck-mounted, track-mounted, and stand alone CPT systems for various ground conditions and project sizes.
Stand alone CPT systems
The Geomil Fox-150 modular stand-alone CPT system is a compact, lightweighted unit designed to be used in a wide variety of applications. The Fox-150 can completely be demounted. Maximum thrust capacity of 200 kN.
The Geomil Fox-200 modular stand-alone CPT system is a high pushing capacity unit. The detachable mounting design allows for flexibility for the Fox-200 to be placed on any base. The Fox can be mounted on a trailer in a setup we name Husky. Maximum thrust capacity of 200 kN.
Excavator-Mounted CPT Systems
The Lizard-200 is a compact CPT hitch-up system to an excavator, perfect for hard-to-reach or restricted-access sites.
The Hornet-100 is the latest development in CPT and UXO testing equipment, utilizing the successful Continuous Drive System (CDS). The Hornet can be configured as a highly automated and remotely controlled system which boosts efficiency and reduces manual handling and associated risk. The integrated and automatic leveling system is capable of correcting slopes of up to ten degrees.
Self-propelled CPT Units
The Lynx-200 is a compact and versatile self-propelled unit, specifically designed for CPT testing in confined or difficult to access areas where larger and fully ballasted rigs cannot be deployed. Maximum thrust capacity of 200 kN.
The Panther is a cabin based crawler is designed for conducting CPTs in any terrain as the track system guarantees traction under the harshest of conditions paired with the lowest possible ground pressure. The Panther comes in 3 different weight classes that are further customizable by adding ballast, ranging from 100 kN to 200 kN push power.
Truck-mounted systems
The Grizzly-200 is a turn-key cabin based operational concept with a wide range of features and options. The system is calculated at favourable financial costs and its lead time. The Grizzly ranges from 170 kN to 200 kN push power.
The Kodiak-180 is the perfect combination of efficient travel between projects and excellent terrain capabilities. While the Kodiak benefits from the travelling speed of a truck on roads or in favourable ground conditions, the crawlers can be lowered to achieve very low ground pressure when driving in soft to very soft terrain. Maximum thrust capacity of 170 kN.
2. Near- and offshore CPT equipment
Geomil provides stand-alone, seabed and down-the-hole systems for various water depths and methods of testing.
Stand alone CPT systems
The Geomil Shark-200 services nearshore and inshore Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) projects and is ideal for use in ports, waterways and channels. The system eliminates the environmental effects on CPT data such as tides, swell and currents and works with great efficiency in water depths of 2 to 30 metres. Maximum thrust capacity of 200 kN.
Seabed CPT systems
The Manta-100 & Manta-200 are self-contained seabed CPT systems designed for offshore projects such as wind farms, oil & gas exploration, cabling and submarine pipeline installations. The systems are equipped with our in-house developed Continuous Drive System (CDS). The Manta-200 provides rapid and reliable repeatable results and guarantees uninterrupted ground penetration with the cone. The versatile system offers add-ons like seismic dual array testing and automatic leveling up to 20 degrees. The Manta-200 is the strongest machine in the market with a maximum thrust capacity of 200 kN.
Down-the-hole CPT systems
The Orca-90/125 are down-hole CPT and soil sampling systems, compatible with several types of drilling methods and used in rig-move campaigns and helicopter moves. The Orca-90/125 allows for real-time data and has proven to ensure high efficiency and repeatable quality of test results. The Orca-90/125 can reach water depths of up to 3000m and can be supported by the Marlin seabed clamp system.
3. CPT Cones & Sensors
Geomil designs and manufactures high-quality CPT cones that provide accurate geotechnical data. A wide range of types and sensors are available to measure tip resistance, sleeve resistance, pore pressure and cones that capture seismic wave velocity data for deeper geotechnical analysis. Full flow penetrometers for extremely soft material testing are available using a T bar or ball add-on. Ultra-sensitive cones measure with sensors of 3 or 10 MPa (qc).
4. Data Acquisition & Software Solutions
Geomil integrates cutting-edge electronics and software into their CPT systems, ensuring precise and efficient data collection.
Acquisition software
CPTest is a resourceful and easy-to-use acquisition software for Mechanical Cone Penetration Testing as well as Electrical CPT(U). CPTest contains many advanced and flexible features to allow for professional and efficient test performance as well as exportable data and easy exchange of CPT data. The softwares user interface is also available in different language settings.
Processing software
CPTask is a user friendly, project oriented program for editing project variables such as ground level, coordinates and water table in one simple step. The clients company logo can be easily integrated as a bitmap file and settings for the scaling, header information as well as the print options can be modified individually or applied for all opened CPT files or projects.
