Studio Prof. Marchetti

Studio Prof. Marchetti is the Italian manufacturing company and patent owner of the following in situ geotechnical equipment: Marchetti Flat Dilatometer (DMT), Seismic Dilatometer (SDMT), Automated Dilatometer (Medusa (S)DMT) and SDMT Cone.
The company headquarters and laboratories are located in Rome (Italy). All products are manufactured, assembled and tested intensively inhouse. Since 1980, when the company was first founded by Professor Silvano Marchetti, the international distribution is active in over 85 countries in 6 continents.
The equipment was employed successfully in numerous international projects, onshore as well as offshore: MO.SE. project in the Venice lagoon, crawlerway for shuttle Atlantis (NASA Cape Kennedy), Brumadinho Mine in Brazil, Zelazny Most tailings Dam in Poland, Palma Jumeirah construction in Dubai, New Breakwater in the harbor of Genoa, etc.
In addition to manufacturing and distributing Marchetti (S)DMT equipment, Studio Prof. Marchetti offers on-site investigation services through the recently acquired Grizzly heavy truck penetrometer, as well as offshore testing activity, also using the combination between a seabed penetrometer and the Medusa (S)DMT, like it happened for the Breakwater project in Genoa (Italy).
The company is constantly active in research projects, mostly in cooperation with academic international partners, published in technical journals and conference proceedings. Over 300 technical presentations were delivered in International Conferences, Universities and Research Institutes world wide.
