History
The Bulgarian Society was started on the 08 April 1948 as Bulgarian National Committee of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.
First Board:
President: Eng. Manol Sakelaroff, Minister of Buildings and Roads.
Vice President: Prof. D-r Eng. Balusch Balusheff, Head of Department for Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.
