The ISSMGE Young Members Presidential Group (YMPG) is pleased to promote the 11th South African Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference (SAYGEC 2026), organised by the SAICE Geotechnical Division.
The conference will take place 16-18 September 2026 at the Champagne Sports Resort, located in the scenic Central Drakensberg, South Africa.
SAYGEC is designed specifically for young geotechnical professionals, aged 35 years and younger, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange technical knowledge, develop professional networks, and engage with peers from South Africa and across the world. International participation is warmly encouraged.
The registration fee for international delegates is ZAR 7,550 (excluding VAT) and includes:
- Delegate information pack and name badge;
- Access to all conference sessions;
- Digital conference proceedings, papers and presentations;
- Tea/coffee breaks and lunches on 16 and 17 September;
- Social Function on 16 September;
- Conference Dinner on 17 September.
Please note that accommodation, flights, and transport to and from the venue are not included in the registration fee. The organising committee is available to provide advice and recommendations regarding travel and accommodation.
