8th International Course on Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring (14-18 June2022)

Launched in 2014 by NHAZCA S.r.l., ICGSM is an important international professional training event on the role of monitoring activities in geotechnical and structural engineering. The first seven editions were attended by more than 600 experts, scholars and professionals in the field coming from over 60 countries across 6 continents.

The course is directed at engineers, geologists and technicians, but also at project managers and those responsible for risk management within the following main areas of activity:

  • Large and small infrastructures
  • Tunnels
  • Dams
  • Excavations
  • Artificial and natural slopes
  • Construction foundations
  • Transport
  • Mining
  • Oil & Gas
  • Cultural heritage

The 2022 edition of ICGSM will focus on the analysis of different monitoring methodologies with particular attention to the design of infrastructures in order to improve the awareness of their structural response during each operational phase and optimise maintenance programmes to ensure their safety.

The event will be structured as follows:

- 14th June 2022: Ice Breaking Field Trip (3.00 h)

- 15th-16th June 2022: Main Course (12.00 h)

- 17th June 2022: Valfabbrica Field Trip (10.00 h)

- 18th June 2022: Acuto Field Trip (6.00 h)
