European Working Group on Internal Erosion in Embankment Dams, Levees and Dikes, and their Foundations

We are pleased to invite you to the University of Sheffield to attend the 28th Annual Meeting of the European Working Group on Internal Erosion (EWG‐IE), from 7th to 10th July 2020. Following the EWG-IE-27 in Vancouver in June 2019, the Sheffield meeting will provide a forum for sharing novel
ideas and recent advances on topics related to internal erosion through water-retaining structures, such as embankment dams, levees and dikes, and in their foundations. Researchers, scientists and engineers, from the private and public sector, in Europe and elsewhere, are welcome.
The 2020 meeting of the European Working Group on Internal Erosion in Embankment Dams, Levees and Dikes and their Foundations will be run as a TC105 affiliated event. Presentations will include research considering how erosion initiates at the particle scale.
