White Paper Workshop on Trustworthy and Explainable AI-for-Science Framework for Climate-Resilient Geoinfrastructure
Co-organised by TC310 Space Geotechnics, we are pleased to invite expressions of interest for short presentations and poster submissions for this upcoming hybrid workshop, hosted by the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds in collaboration with the Data & Analytics Facility for National Infrastructure (DAFNI).
Under the theme Knowledge for a More Resilient World, the workshop will bring together researchers, infrastructure professionals, industry representatives and early-career researchers to explore how trustworthy, explainable and scientifically grounded AI can strengthen the resilience of geoinfrastructure against climate change and extreme weather.
Topics include
- Trustworthy and explainable AI for infrastructure science, engineering and exterritorial civil infrastructure engineering
- Physics-informed, hybrid and data-driven modelling of geoinfrastructure
- Uncertainty quantification, calibration and reliability of AI predictions
- AI-enabled monitoring, forecasting and digital twins for infrastructure systems
- Climate and extreme-weather impacts on slopes, embankments, transport infrastructure, buried infrastructure and related environmental systems
- Integration and reproducible sharing of infrastructure data and computational models through DAFNI
- Translation of AI-for-science research into engineering practice, industrial applications and infrastructure decision-making
