A Novel Driveability Prediction Method for Continuous Impact Driving and Monopile Run

A suitable driveability analysis offers valuable guidance for the construction of pile foundations. This paper proposes a novel driveability prediction method for continuous impact pile driving and monopile run.  Both tip gap and cyclic degradation of soil are considered, and the multiple-blow analysis shows that the method can produce accurate predictions of blow counts. Finally, a case of monopile installation in South China Sea is studied, where the behaviour of pile run is captured using the proposed method.
