The introduction is changed to properly explain the advantage of the proposed model by referring to existing other models for expansive soils; why Kunigel-V1 is used to validate the model; what is different from previous work (Kyokawa, 2021). All of the technical comments have been reflected in the revised manuscript (title of the paper, additional explanation, and rephrasing).
