The development in the world has affected many areas, including road construction projects. Problems encountered by engineers in this area have allowed them to adapt experiments and studies aimed at soil treatment, in order to build suitable roads with good soil. The aim of this study is to add ceramic waste and lime to improve the physical and mechanical properties of the soil, such as dry density, permeability and compressibility. By examining the influence of the proportion of ceramic waste and lime in the natural soil, were experiments were conducted Among the results of this study, there is an increase in the dry density of 1.99 g/cm3; the addition of ceramic waste decreases the permeability by about 310% and a decrease in the consolidation coefficients of about 350%. Ultimately, we can conclude that the results of this study positively contribute to the sub-base layer of road construction by improving the characteristics of sub-base layer materials.
