Ir. Colin Lim is a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE). He is currently Technical Manager (Environmental Infrastructure) at Solmax, leading technical specification, product qualification and technical education on geomembranes for containment applications across the Asia-Pacific, including landfills, mine tailings and heap leach facilities.
He holds a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His technical interests include soft ground improvement and geosynthetic applications, and he has published multiple technical papers in international geotechnical and geosynthetics conferences.
He serves as Co-secretary of TC-Barrier, International Geosynthetics Society (IGS); Treasurer of the IGS Malaysian Chapter; Secretary/Treasurer of the Geotechnical Engineering Technical Division (GETD), The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM); Co-opted Committee Member of the Malaysian Geotechnical Society (MGS); and Member of the Malaysian Landfill Working Group, Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM). He is a nominated member of TC211 (Ground Improvement) in ISSMGE.
