Derick Kambere is a Geotechnical Engineer at RSV Engineering Group Ltd, one of the largest Geotechnical Engineering firms in Uganda. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Ndejje University in Uganda. His research interests are mostly inclined to triaxial testing of soils. He worked with WAPCOS Ltd as the Assistant Geotechnical Engineer on the Kabuyanda Irrigation Earth Dam Project in Isingiro District, Uganda before joining RSV Engineering Group Ltd. With about four (4) years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering, Derick has done geotechnical investigations and foundation designs for transportation systems (roads, bridges, railway), earth dams, water supply systems, industrial structures, and high rise buildings. He has also prepared several factual and interpretative geotechnical investigation reports. Currently, he is a member of ISSMGE and the Geotechnical Association Uganda (GAU), where he serves on the Executive Committee as a Member.
