XXI Brazilian Congress of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering
Description
The Brazilian Congress of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, throughout its 20 editions, has been consolidating itself as the most important event in Brazil in the national geotechnical and engineering scenario.
With such a challenging responsibility, it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Balneário Camboriú, a vibrant city that surprises us with its rapid growth. Providing the development of society in harmony with nature is a challenge for all of us!
It is in this environment that COBRAMSEG 2024 will be held, which reaches its 21st edition incorporating the X Brazilian Symposium on Rock Mechanics and the X Brazilian Symposium on Young Geotechnical Engineers.
We gathered to celebrate Soil and Rock Mechanics, from GeoEngenharia! Academia, Industry and Management Bodies united to showcase their technical and scientific advances. A rich and diverse environment that allows us to debate solutions and actions in order to strengthen our geotechnical community, aiming to provide more sustainable and safe development for our society.

Additional Information
Pile Prediction Event at BC Experimental Testing Site in Brazil An exciting opportunity has been launched at the BC Experimental Testing Site 01, located in Balneário Camboriú, in southern Brazil. This Pile Prediction Event will culminate with the results being unveiled during COBRAMSEG 2024, the Brazilian Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. The BC Experimental Testing Site is a collaborative initiative that unites designers, consultants, construction companies, pile contractors, drilling contractors, load testing companies, steel suppliers, concrete suppliers, and other industry professionals. This initiative is committed to advancing foundation engineering practices through extensive research and testing. The inaugural event will showcase the results of an instrumented static load test conducted on a 60 cm diameter, 25 m long continuous flight auger (CFA) pile, which was subjected to clear failure. In addition, a comprehensive geotechnical investigation campaign is underway, including SPT, Rotary, CPT, SCPTu, DMT, Vane Test, Pressiometer, Crosshole, MASW, and Triaxial tests. The initial phase includes data from SPT, SCPTu, and DMT. Professionals interested in participating in the Pile Prediction Event are encouraged to access the call for submissions and additional information on the website www.bc-ets.com.br/edital. For further inquiries, contact can be made via email at [email protected]. Participants are encouraged to submit predictions and to help spread the word by sharing this opportunity with their professional networks.
