Please find attached a copy of the final report on forensic investigation of collapse of a retaining wall in Mumbai, INDIA, on 2nd July, 2019, which killed more than 30 people and left more than 70 people injured.
I served on the investigation committee. The main reasons behind simultaneous collapse of retaining wall at two locations, separated by few hundred meters, were poor cross drainage stem, and poor geotechnical design of retaining wall.
