At the Council meeting in Vienna, Professor Lyesse Laloui was elected as the next President of ISSMGE for the period 2026 - 2029. The Vice-Presidents will be:

North America: Professor J. David Frost
South America: Daniela Pollak Aguiló

The next quadrennial International Conference (XXII ICSMGE) will be held in Shanghai, China in November 2029.
The next Council Meeting will be in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 20th - 25th August 2028 , on occasion of the XIX European Regional Conference.
