Governing Documents
Following the Council meeting in Astana in 2023, ISSMGE initiated the process to become a formally incorporated legal entity. As of May 1st, 2025, ISSMGE is incorporated under the name International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Ltd., registered in the United Kingdom.
The incorporation ensures a robust legal framework for ISSMGEs operations and provides clarity on governance, liability, and member responsibilities.
Governance Documents
These documents replace the previous Statutes and Bylaws of the ISSMGE. The Society continues to be known globally as the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
