Membership of ISSMGE
Individual: Individual membership of ISSMGE is achieved through membership of one of our Member Societies. This is usually, but not necessarily, the Member Society of the same country as the individual. Contact details of the Secretary of the ISSMGE Member Society of your choice can be found under "REGIONS" on the menu on the left of your screen.
The procedure for forming a Member Society is governed by the ISSMGE Statutes and By-laws where membership is covered by statutes 4A-L and related By-laws. Statute 4D indicates that it is first necessary to form a Society, within your own country, which must have statutes, a President or Chair, a Secretary and Treasurer and an address for the Secretariat. To be viable a Member Society needs to have at least 10 members. Once such a Society is formed application can be made for membership of ISSMGE, as detailed under statute 4E, submitting with the application your statutes, the names of the Chairman and Secretary, address of Secretariat and the names and addresses of individual members of your Society.
